Software Engineering
Our software engineers have invested considerable amounts of time in
research and development to create some of the world leading simulation
software applications. They are continuously striving to improve and
extend the range of products and services available from PlantLife.
In addition to the list of applications we currently offer, we are able
to assist with the development of custom application to order.
Model Applications
1. AutoBuild uses libraries of model circuits to
automatically build dynamic models. It can be used to add additional
functionality such as custom faults to operator training models, that
can be instantly removed to de-clutter the model should it also be
required to perform engineering studies.
Control Applications
1. Cause and Effect is a dynamic version
of the cause and effect spreadsheet used to define the emergency
shutdown system of a process. The Cause and effect tool can be used as a
tool to help develop the emergency shutdown system of a process and when
developed can be embedded directly into a dynamic simulation model to
perform the task of the emergency shutdown system.
2. InAlarm provides basic alarm functionality for dynamic
models and operator training systems.
3. InSite provides an overview of the controllers in a
dynamic model. However, unlike a conventional controller faceplate,
Insite displays the percentage deviation from setpoint. This provides an
overview of the control status of the process and shows where
controllers are failing to maintain the process at setpoint.
4. Triple C Anti-surge Controller is a Hysys extension
emulation of the compressor anti-surge controller used throughout the
Oil and Gas industry.
5. Triple C Performance Controller
is a Hysys extension emulation of the compressor performance controller
used throughout the Oil and Gas industry.
Operator Training Applications
1. ProspecTS is an Operator Training System that consists
of a suite of integrated components for both Instructor and operator
station functionality.
Performance Applications
1. Cloud is a software technology developed by PlantLife
that enables instantaneous communications between cloud enabled objects.
This reduces the execution speed of cloud enabled software resulting in
faster model run speeds.
2. Eloquence provides ultra fast
network communications, reducing the network load and increasing the run
speed of distributed and integrated models such as operator training
systems.
3. Hurricane is a Hysys speed
optimiser for both steady state and dynamic models.
